FAQ

  • What makes our Treatments "French?"
In the French culture we appreciate individuality, uniqueness, sexuality, and asymmetry. These qualities make each of us who we are. So while these treatments are offered globally, the French approach to aesthetics shifts the perspective from "anti" aging to "graceful" aging. In other words, if you're going to be 50, let's make you the most beautiful version of 50 we can, using techniques that preserve the most beautiful parts of you.
  • Do we care about wrinkles?
In the art of graceful aging, my priority always starts with your skin health. While many patients arrive requesting me to focus on a wrinkle or lips, I try to bring the focus back to overall glow, luminosity, and universal facial balance. To have no wrinkles, full lips, or contoured cheeks without glowing skin, in my humble opinion, defeats the purpose. To truly embrace yourself at every age, it is essential to have healthy skin as a foundation and a base to anything that we may add on. Your skin is the largest organ on your body. It is like a muscle that we need to train and exercise. In my professional opinion, your skin reflects the foundation of your being. The skin harbors no secrets. We won’t ignore this major area, because it is essential to unifying any other work that we do. let me guide you on your journey as we give you the skin you always wished you had.
  • What is graceful aging?
Aging gracefully relates to much more than the physical. At the root, it is the connection of our inner self to the outer self. This is balance. Balance in our thinking, our ‘joie de vivre’ and our intentions. The balance to be with and to be without. Balance to nurture our bodies and souls. Be mindful of the things you are digesting; whether it be food, ideas, or the company you keep. Over time it all plays a vital part in your flow and how you move throughout the world. What’s something you can do today to help bring more balance into your life? In the art of graceful aging, my priority always starts with your skin health.
  • Will I look natural?
There is a delicate line that we walk in the field of “anti” aging. Unfortunately, many are afraid of starting treatments for fear they will look like someone they know who is “overdone”. I’m here to tell you that I frequently say no to patients. In an effort to maintain my ethical and aesthetic beliefs, part of that responsibility comes with declining procedures to patients who are not candidates. I am committed to each person’s natural beauty. Every patient gets a personalized treatment plan, specific to them. I work with my patients gradually over multiple sessions and watch closely as your results develop over time. We will keep it subtle, natural looking and most importantly- keep you looking refreshed; never frozen. Being expressive is important. I don’t give you more than what you need. You are perfect as you are. 🖤

  • What if I am afraid of needles?
Did you know I’m also afraid of needles?💉 Thats why I’ve done extensive advanced courses (even learning in cadaver labs) to truly understand anatomy so I may provide the best possible techniques for injecting. When it comes to facial balancing or threading, I’m never ‘forcing’ an injection into the skin, but instead, finding that ‘sweet spot’ that gives little-to-no resistance and just ‘glides in’. This improves aesthetic result, and minimizes the time needed for healing. Usually, patients are numbed either with topical crème or small (acupuncture-sized) injections. (Or both if you’d like! 😘) During the procedure, we can play your favorite music, talk to you and can even use other distraction methods such as tapping or vibration tools. While some of my needles may look super big, it’s important to know many of the longer ones are actually thinner needles. It’s not as bad as it looks! 💋

Trap Tox (aka Barbie Tox) is a procedure where neurotoxins are injected into the trapezius muscle. This treatment helps to relax the muscles in the upper back, neck, and shoulder area. It’s amazing for: * Pain Relief * Neck and Shoulder Tension * Tension headaches / migraines * Improved Posture * Muscle Spasms * Aesthetic concerns (unwanted bulking of the shoulders due to muscle tension) The treatment itself is nearly painless as it uses a very small needle, similar to the size of an acupuncture needle. • Can you provide Laser Hair Removal for PCOS?
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder that affects many women worldwide. One of the common symptoms of PCOS is excessive hair growth, also known as hirsutism. While there are various methods to manage unwanted hair, laser hair removal has emerged as an effective and long-lasting solution specifically for individuals with PCOS. Let’s explore the benefits and considerations of laser hair removal in the context of PCOS. 1. Targeted Hair Reduction: Laser hair removal uses concentrated light energy to target and destroy hair follicles. The laser emits a specific wavelength that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicles, damaging them and inhibiting future hair growth. This precise targeting makes it an ideal choice for individuals with PCOS who experience excessive hair growth in specific areas such as the face, chest, back, or abdomen. 2. Long-Term Results: Laser hair removal offers long-lasting results compared to temporary hair removal methods like shaving, waxing, or depilatory creams. Multiple treatment sessions are usually required to achieve the desired outcome, as hair follicles go through different growth cycles. However, once the sessions are complete, individuals experience a significant reduction in hair growth, with some even achieving permanent hair loss in treated areas. 3. Customized Treatment Plans: Every individual’s PCOS symptoms and hair growth patterns are unique. Laser hair removal treatments can be tailored to address specific concerns and target areas of excessive hair growth. We will assess your condition, consider your skin type, hair color, and medical history, and create a personalized treatment plan to ensure the best possible results. It’s crucial to consult with a qualified professional who has experience in treating individuals with PCOS to determine the most appropriate approach and manage expectations. Even after completing a full course of laser hair removal treatments, occasional touch-up sessions may be necessary to maintain the results. PCOS s a chronic condition, and hormonal fluctuations over time can potentially trigger new hair growth.

You might wonder, why focus on the neck when facial enhancements seem more popular? • Can you treat jaw clenching?
Did you know that jaw clenching can have negative effects on your face and overall health? When you clench your jaw, you put excessive pressure on your teeth, jaw muscles, and joints, which can lead to headaches, earaches, and even damage to your teeth. But that’s not all. Over time, jaw clenching can also cause your facial muscles to become tense and stiff, leading to a more square or bulky jawline, a “gummy” smile, and even wrinkles around the mouth and chin. If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, don’t wait to seek treatment. At our office, we offer a range of solutions to help alleviate the effects of jaw clenching and restore a more youthful, relaxed appearance.
  • What is Micro-needling?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that can help improve the overall appearance and texture of your skin. The treatment involves creating small micro-channels in the skin, which stimulates the body’s natural healing response and increases the production of collagen and elastin. Some benefits of microneedling include reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improving the skin’s texture and tone, reducing the appearance of scars and hyperpigmentation, and promoting overall skin health. Additionally, microneedling helps enhance the effectiveness of skincare products by increasing their absorption into the skin.
  • What is lip framing?
There is a fine line between lip framing and lip augmentation. While many patients come in with visions of pouty lips akin to their favorite celebrities, my focus is different. Instead of just augmentation, I focus on Lip Framing. Why? Framing doesn’t focus on “cookie cutter” or “trendy” features. Framing looks at you as an individual. I look at your natural beauty, structure, silhouette, and your heritage. I add shape carefully and intentionally. My goal is for you to look globally more balanced without looking overdone or obvious.
  • What is lip hydration?
Have you ever heard of lip hydration? 🫦 The loss of collagen and elastin over time can result in thinner lips, dryness, fine lines, and wrinkles. Sun exposure, smoking, and other medical conditions can accelerate this process. Lip hydration uses hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar molecule that absorbs water anywhere it is placed. It’s a treatment designed to boost moisture and plumpness in your lips while helping to give a smoother and more youthful pout. The treatment is quick and results last years.

  • What is the O-Shot? (Orgasm Shot)
As a provider with a strong opinion regarding women’s health, I believe in addressing the diverse needs of women beyond what is commonly advertised. While the O shot is often associated with its ability to enhance orgasm, the medical benefits extend far beyond the pleasure portal. There are symptoms that women experience as they age that are unfairly labeled as “normal,” and that we should grin and bear it. In my professional opinion this is unacceptable and women should not be living uncomfortably or in pain. There are safe and effective ways to help you feel your absolute best. The O-Shot treatment holds the potential to alleviate various conditions, including: ✨ Menopause discomfort ✨ Pain during intercourse ✨ Lichen sclerosus ✨ Tightness ✨ Lubrication concerns ✨ Cystocele ✨ Rectocele ✨ Prolapse It’s important to note that these treatments can benefit all women, irrespective of whether they have gone through childbirth. • What is a non-surgical Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)
(Non-Surgical) Brazilian Butt Lifts are in full effect! 🍑 BBLs- everyone seems to want one, and knows someone who’s had one. Or worse- we may know someone who has a BAD surgical one. Going under the knife is not for everyone. That’s why I love this non-surgical option. It is SO much safer than the life risking surgical procedure (15% mortality rate). Instead of using potentially lumpy and bumpy fat transfers, I use a targeted injection plan of biostimulators to plump up your peach. I then iron out the fine details providing fat melting to right below the butt on the upper thigh (called the banana roll). The result is a beautiful and natural looking shape. Your final look will improve gradually over time, recovery is quick, and it lasts up to 5 years.

  • What is Facial Balancing?
Facial balancing is a gradual process that considers the face as a whole— addressing multiple areas to achieve a globally refreshed and harmonized result. During facial balancing, we restore the structure itself instead of focusing on "the symptoms". Each person is unique, and the approach to facial balancing is tailored to the individual's specific facial characteristics, concerns, and desired outcomes. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. The adjustments made during facial balancing are often on a very small scale, measured in millimeters. Facial balancing is more than just a makeover; it's an artistic approach to harmonization. With French-inspired techniques, we play with shadows, colors, and radiance to bring out your best features more. Each treatment goes beyond addressing wrinkles, focusing on the overall enhancement of your unique beauty. These minute changes collectively contribute to an overall more balanced appearance. Facial balancing takes time and patience. Well worth the wait to see the full transformation over time. I know my patients won’t be disappointed. 💉💋
  • Can you treat severe acne with Botox?
Let’s talk about a little secret to achieving that radiant skin you’ve been dreaming of: neurotoxin. Yes, you heard it right – Botox isn’t just for wrinkles. It holds remarkable benefits for oily skin, enlarged pores and those pesky blackheads too. By precisely targeting oil-prone areas, Botox helps reduce excessive oil production, leaving you with a fresh, matte complexion. And blackheads? They may seem stubborn, but Botox works its magic here too. By relaxing the muscles and minimizing pore size, blackheads become less prominent, giving you the clear, refined skin you deserve. If you struggle with severe acne, micro injections of Botox are an effective way to dramatically reduce sebum and oil production. 💉 Combined with a customized ZO regimen, we are able to help control breakouts and and eventually help you get to a preventative care regimen. Remaining scars can be treated with skincare, lasers, and biostimulators. Voila!
  • Do under eye crèmes work?
The hard truth about eye creams. Bottom line, it’s all about facial structure and volume loss. As we age, our zygoma (cheekbone) and ramus (jawline) begin to dissolve. This pulls our facial features forward and stresses our under-eye area. To correct under-eye circles, we need to reinforce the structural changes that happen during the normal aging process. In addition to that, we can use prescription eye creams to thicken the under-eye skin and help it appear younger…but this only works in cohesion with other treatments. Eyes creams simply won’t work as a solution by themselves.
  • Can I wear lipsticks after lip treatments?
Yes! Wait 24 hours then wear your favorite lipstick, gloss, and enjoy. Looking to take your healing to the next level? Ask about our signature Arnica lip gloss. • How does Jawline Sculpting work?
Jawline sculpting creates a pulled back or lifted appearance. It compliments the angle of a persons profile (my favorite angle to look at). With male jawlines, a sharper line is more anatomically balanced. It is imperative to understand that male and female faces are vastly different in shape. For example, with a female— a more C shaped jawline is feminine and flattering. The angle of her cheek should have a tilted angle up. The opposite is true for men. These are the most important details to remember when preserving natural character.
  • What are some good aftercare practices for fillers?
To preserve the integrity of your fillers it’s important to follow a few simple rules for the first 48 hours. - Don’t touch the site of the injections - Don’t use make up on the first day - Avoid hot showers, saunas, spas, steam rooms - Avoid high cardio exercise - Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol for the first 24 hours - Avoid tanning - Only use gentle cleansers for the site - Avoid facials, waxing, chemical peels, or micro dermabrasion abrasion for the first two weeks Facial balancing takes two weeks to fully integrate. Swelling is normal. Each patient will receive aftercare instructions, as well as pre-care instructions. All questions will be answered and every patient has a 24hr phone line to call.
  • Can filler migrate?
If a filler migrates it can create an undesired “puffy” effect and result in an uneven appearance. There are several reasons this may happen. including: * Gravity: Over time, gravity can cause the filler to gradually move downward, leading to a shift in the placement of the filler material. * Dynamic Movement: The under eye area is prone to constant movement due to facial expressions, such as smiling or squinting. This continuous movement can contribute to the displacement of the filler. * Tissue Characteristics: The skin and tissues in the under eye area are relatively thin and delicate, which can make it more challenging for the filler to stay in place compared to other areas with thicker skin. * Individual Factors: Each person’s body may react differently to dermal fillers. Factors like metabolism, hydration, and individual anatomy can influence how long the filler lasts and if there is any migration. * Volume and Type of Filler: Using excessive filler volume or a type of filler that is not suitable for the under eye area can increase the risk of migration. Filler migration is easily treated in office with a dissolving injection.
  • How long does the swelling last with lip treatments?
If it is your first time getting a lip treatment, you may have concerns regarding recovery times. Don’t worry! Lip treatments recover very quickly. Most swelling occurs on the first and second day of treatment. Afterwards it will subside rapidly. I recommend arnica pills 3 days before your treatment. You may take ibuprofen after your treatment to reduce swelling. We also carry our signature French NP Arnica Lip Glosses which help cut down healing time tremendously.

It is called the “color blind” laser because it is also safe for all skin tones (Irish to African), and also treats medical conditions (think psoriasis, toes fungus, even pain). Aerolase is considered military grade status and was invented by a NASA scientist and won Cosmopolitan magazine’s Holy Grail Beauty Award for 2021. It is the gold standard. Here are a few of the skin conditions aerolase addresses: ✅ Acne ✅ Psoriasis ✅ rosacea ✅ spider veins ✅ blackheads ✅ scars ✅ sun damage ✅ Melasma ✅ bruising ✅ acne ✅ warts ✅ Skin tightening And so much more! To top it off, it’s also a tool that can be used for laser hair removal. Let me know if you’re interested in learning more about how the Aerolase laser can work for your skin.
  • How does Aerolase® treat Melasma and Hyperpigmentation?
NeoSkin by Aerolase® allows patients of all skin types to comprehensively clear their melasma and hyperpigmentation. As a multi-factorial condition that can involve epidermal melanin, dermal melanin, and a vascular component, melasma typically requires a complex treatment regimen to achieve clearance and prevent recurrence. The Aerolase Neo helps patients to achieve clearance with a safe, effective, and tolerable treatment by addressing each of these factors. The Neo’s 650-microsecond laser energy is delivered into the dermis and epidermis to break up melanin deposits while shutting down vasculature and inflammation. Due to the unique parameters of the Neo’s energy, treatment is highly tolerable with minimal risk of adverse effects compared to traditional topical or device treatments for melasma. Management of melasma can be challenging and, with topical agents, may require long-term treatment. The Neo, however, can help patients achieve clearance with fewer treatments. For patients who want an accelerated clearance of their condition, the Neo can be combined with a peel in a single treatment session. First, the Neo helps to break up epidermal and dermal pigment. Then, the peel may be applied to speed up the cellular turnover of the epidermis. While the Neo may be used alone as a single treatment, the combination of these two treatments offers patients a great “one-two punch” to clear their condition. Aerolase Neo melasma treatments typically take 15-20 minutes. Neo melasma treatments are safe, effective, and tolerable for all skin types and all forms of melasma. Treatment may be performed without any skin cooling, anesthetic, and even without the need to touch the skin
  • How does Aerolase® work for Skin Tightening and Rejuvenation?
NeoSkin by Aerolase® advances rejuvenation and tightening to new levels by enabling a comprehensive treatment to address tone and texture, redness, pigmentation, laxity, and other unwanted skin structures in a single treatment with a single device. NeoSkin uses 650-microsecond laser energy, which is uniquely attracted to melanin, hemoglobin, and water within the skin to safely, effectively, and tolerably renew the skin’s natural, youthful glow. NeoSkin now accomplishes the results of what used to take numerous treatments and treatment methods. As skin ages there can be many changes that occur. Skin quality can worsen with enlarged pores, texture, and lax skin. Unwanted conditions such as redness, veins, sun damage, and age spots may show up. Acne may follow through adulthood. Whether you are looking to restore your clear, youthful skin or prevent signs of aging, NeoSkin can help achieve your skin goals. First, NeoSkin’s 650-microsecond energy targets water in the dermis to stimulate collagen production, which reduces fine lines, pores, and tightens skin. Then, if present, NeoSkin targets melanin and hemoglobin to clear brown pigment, clear vascular lesions, and suppress inflammation. This NeoSkin treatment is a quick, tailored treatment to address each patient’s specific needs. NeoSkin treatments typically take 20-60 minutes depending on what conditions need to be addressed and how large the treatment area is (face, neck, chest). Treatment is highly safe, effective, and tolerable for all skin types and may be performed without any skin cooling, anesthetic, and even without the need to touch the skin.
  • How does Aerolase® treat Rosacea, Redness & Veins?"
NeoSkin comprehensively addresses rosacea, redness, veins, and broken capillaries in a single, 20-25 minute treatment session. A common condition with skin aging is the appearance of redness and formation of veins and broken capillaries in the skin. Rosacea is a chronic disorder that is characterized by facial flushing and with time the gradual development of persistent facial redness and spider-like blood vessels. It is often punctuated by episodes of inflammatory papules (bumps), pustules (pimples), and swelling. Management for many people often includes avoidance of popular foods and alcohol as well as cosmetic camouflage, which can be expensive and time-consuming. Other diffuse redness including poikiloderma of civatte may be attributed by other factors such as exposure to UV rays and lifestyle, which can also be addressed by the NeoSkin treatment. The Aerolase Neo effectively addresses these conditions with deep-penetrating energy that suppresses the inflammation causing the redness. It also coagulates the unwanted veins and broken capillaries, which are then gradually cleared by the body’s natural immune response.

Aerolase 650 Microsecond Technology™ suppresses inflammation and coagulates the hypervasculature feeding plaque growth with deep-penetrating energy. • How does Aerolase® treat Nail Fungus?
Onychomycosis, or nail fungus, is an infection of the toenail in which the nail changes color, thickness and quality. In addition of causing an unhealthy appearance, it can cause pain and difficulty walking. Laser treatment for nail fungus is safe, quick and highly effective. Most patients are able to be clear of their infection with only one or two treatments. Laser procedures for nail fungus are proven to be a much safer and effective method as compared to oral medications or topical creams. One of the key aspects of eradicating nail fungus is to achieve penetration of the laser energy into the nail bed. This area needs significant heating to ensure the fungal material is destroyed, which requires a deep-heating and powerful laser. The Aerolase Neo Elite offers patients the ideal laser for such treatment. After the treatment, patients are able to resume their daily activities as normal. Results are not immediate, as it takes anywhere from 3-12 months for the new, non-infected nail to grow. It is recommended that patients follow this preventive care regiment to avoid reinfection: Apply an antifungal cream for 2 weeks following the procedure; Always spray inside the shoes at the end of the day with an antifungal spray and avoid wearing the shoes for 2 days or use Steri-Shoe ultraviolet shoe sanitizers; After 2 weeks, spray the feet or fingers with anti-fungal spray on an ongoing basis; Change the sheets the 1st night after each treatment; Cleanse the floor of the shower before next use with a cleanser that includes bleach; Cleanse all nail instruments with bleach before using them again; Throw out any nail polish previously used on the nails; Exercise caution in public areas like hotel rooms and public showers.
  • How does Aerolase® treat Ingrown Hairs?
PFB (Pseudofolliculitis Barbae, i.e. ingrown hairs, razor bumps or beard bumps) is an irritating condition that is commonly caused by shaving. It often appears in patients of darker skin types, including tanned skin and skin types IV through VI. The laser selectively targets melanin in the underlying hair and follicle, as well as hyperpigmentation surrounding the lesion. Due to Aerolase lasers’ unique 650-microsecond pulse duration being 50 to 500 times shorter than pulses durations typically used for hair removal by other laser technologies, the energy passes through the skin quickly and does not overheat the epidermal melanin to effectively treat the condition.
  • How does Aerolase® treat Pigmented Lesions?
Over time, your skin is affected by exposure to UV light, which can cause pigmentary changes on the surface of the skin. The result can be sun or age spots as well as freckles. Some skin is affected by pigmentary changes at birth, called nevi or birthmarks. Regardless of the pigmentary condition, the Aerolase Neo Elite can safely and effectively treat your pigmented lesion, resulting in an even and uniform skin tone.
  • How does Aerolase® treat Veins?
The Aerolase Neo Elite is able to safely treat a broad range of visible blood vessels from angiomas and spider veins to large leg veins. The Aerolase Neo Elite delivers a pulse of laser energy, which will cause the blood within the vein to coagulate and destroy the vessel, which will have absorbed by your body over several weeks to leave your skin looking rejuvenated and youthful. No matter what part of your body is affected, the Aerolase Neo Elite can safely and effectively take care of any unwanted veins.

The Aerolase laser is also known as the colorblind laser. Why? Because it has been proven to work magic on all skin tones and shades without causing damage to the skin.
